Shipping Signatures & FlexDelivery (Canada Post)

Delivery signatures and preventing missed deliveries with FlexDelivery from Canada Post.

Updated this week

Some shipments may require a signature at the door (depending on the carrier and service level). If you’re not usually home during delivery hours, we strongly recommend using Canada Post FlexDelivery (free). It routes your package to a post office you choose, so you can pick it up as soon as it arrives.

When a signature is required

If a package needs a signature and no one answers the door, the carrier may leave a Delivery Notice Card and you’ll pick up the parcel at the post office listed on the notice.

Why we recommend FlexDelivery

FlexDelivery can help you avoid the “missed delivery → notice card → extra wait” situation by sending your package directly to your selected post office, with notification when it’s ready for pickup.

How to set up FlexDelivery

  1. Sign up for FlexDelivery (free) with Canada Post and verify your identity.

  2. Choose your pickup post office (near home, work, or wherever you want).

  3. At checkout, use your FlexDelivery address as the shipping address (it starts with PO BOX 99900 and includes your unique ID).

  4. Watch for a pickup notification, then bring valid photo ID to collect your package.

Important note

FlexDelivery is a Canada Post service and works best when the retailer can ship to a PO Box-style address. If your order ships via a courier like FedEx or Purolator, FlexDelivery may not be compatible
